“A True Worshipper”

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

(John 4:24)

Greetings to the Bethel Family in the matchless name of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ! We certainly are in
awe by the impacting move of the Spirit during both our Sunday morning services and Wednesday LIFE Impact studies. I celebrate with everyone who recently has dedicated their life to Christ and have experienced the ‘New Birth’ as commanded by our Lord. In addition, we have had over 50 new members so far this year to join New Bethel and I’m excited that you are part of the family! Let us believe with great expectation that in service others will also make a commitment to Christ!

Today, I want to remind you that God is looking for you! The Lord is looking for a true worshipper! “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”  (John 4:23) Yes, it is true that praise is our weapon!  It’s so easy to praise God when everything is going well and according to plan, but what is your disposition when things aren’t going well and as planned? That becomes the critical issue to determine whether you are “a true worshipper!”

You see, worship is a life style and not an event! We praise God for what He’s done. We thank the Lord for all his many blessings toward us. That’s why David declared, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” (Psalm 103:2) But a true worshipper is one who recognizes God for who He is and pledges their life in total submission to Him…. even when things are not how you want them to be going in your life! A true worshipper bows acknowledging God as Lord and King! The Psalmist declared, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God…” (Psalm 95:6,7)  In the good and the bad, I’ll still praise him. Whether I’m on the mountain or in the valley, I’ll still bless your name. Yes, I thank God for all his wonderful blessings to me, but even if the Lord doesn’t do another thing for me… I will still exalt Him! That’s “A True Worshipper!” Let the sound of your life resonate that you worship God and have dedicated your life to Him!

Celebrate today and give God your all! Do not feel any inhibitions with your praise and worship unto him. God wants to use you and He’s looking for you!! Be blessed knowing you were born to fulfill a divine purpose in destiny. Fulfill the dream of God for your life. First Lady & I are praying with you and remember, God said this is “The Year of Performance!”
