2020 Voting Information

Pastor Brady & The New Bethel Church encourages everyone to VOTE in the upcoming election. We understand that many are voting early and voting by mail while others are waiting until election day – November 3rd. No matter what your plan is, we just want to make sure you plan to VOTE! Here is some important voting information for both Kansas and Missouri.


KANSAS

Absentee Vote in Kansas…

  1. Request your mail-in ballot with a mail ballot application.
  2. Fill out the application completely.
  3. Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
  4. When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it.
  5. Your ballot must be postmarked by Tuesday, November 3, 2020 and received no later than Friday, November 6, 2020 by close of business. You can find ballot tracking information here. We encourage you to return your ballot as early as possible.

In-Person Early Voting in Kansas…

Kansas voters can also vote before Election Day. The early voting period runs from Wednesday, October 14, 2020 to Monday, November 2, 2020 at 12 p.m., but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.

Vote on Election Day in Kansas…

Voters registered in Kansas can look up where to vote on Kansas’s site.

What to bring…

  • You will need to show photo ID to vote in Kansas. Acceptable forms include: a driver’s license or non-driver’s ID card issued by Kansas or by another state; a concealed carry handgun license; US passport; government employee badge or ID; military ID; student ID from an accredited postsecondary institution of education in Kansas; government-issued public assistance ID; or Indian tribal ID. Persons age 65 or older may use expired photo ID documents.

Please Note: Lines are expected to be long! Plan ahead! If you are in line when the polls close, your vote will count!


MISSOURI

Absentee Vote in Missouri…

  1. Review the absentee/mail-in ballot application and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for voting absentee. Your application may require a notary (This is one of the major differences between Missouri and Kansas Mail-In Ballots) You can also request a ballot by email. We encourage you to request and return ballots as early as possible.
  2. Fill out the application completely.
  3. Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
  4. When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it.
  5. Your ballot must be received by Tuesday, November 3, 2020 by 7:00 p.m. You may also return your absentee ballot in person by Tuesday, November 3, 2020 by 7:00 p.m., but please note that mail-in ballots cannot be returned in person. Your state does not offer ballot status tracking. Contact your state election officials for additional information.

Vote on Election Day…

Voters registered in Missouri can look up where to vote on Missouri’s site.

What to bring…

  • You will be asked to show ID to vote in Missouri. Acceptable forms of government-issued photo ID include: a driver’s license; non-driver’s license; US passport; or military ID. If you do not have a government-issued photo ID, you can also show one of the following forms of ID: a voter registration card; ID from a Missouri university, college, vocational or technical school; a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document that contains your name and address.
  • Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to cast a provisional ballot. Your ballot will count if your signature matches the signature in the voter registry or if you return to your polling place and show a photo ID.
