On Saturday, November 19th from 10:00am to 3:00pm, the New Bethel Church and the NBCCDC will host a FREE Health Fair and Thanksgiving Outreach themed, “Celebrate Life & Good Health”. Many deaths and health conditions occur prematurely due to unhealthy lifestyle choices. For this reason, the pastor of the New Bethel Church, Pastor A. Glenn Brady, felt led to once again have an event that will encourage a healthy lifestyle while providing individuals with a wholesome meal and groceries for their entire family! The FREE Health Fair will help hundreds from across the Kansas City Metro area. It will include 1:1 assistance to sign up for the Affordable Health Care Act with onsite Enrollment Specialists, Health Screenings with license medical personnel, Health Presentations, Flu Shots, Youth Activities, A “Hearty Thanksgiving” Meal and Groceries!

Organizations that are participating include, University of Kansas City Missouri School of Medicine, Kansas University School of Nursing (Cholesterol, Glucose and Blood Pressure Screenings), Midland Health, Community Health Council / KC Care (Health information for those 55 and older), Juntos Center for Advancing Latino Health (Glucose & Blood Pressure Screenings), CAVU Health Care (Flu Shots & Behavioral Health Referrals), Unified Government Health Department (Clinical Breast Exams), United Health Care (Medicare & Medicaid information especially for veterans) , Kansas University School of Architecture / Dotte Agency (Community input concerning mobile groceries).

The New Bethel Church Transportation Ministry will provide Pick-Up & Drop-Off Services throughout the Kansas City metro area upon request.
