The Holiday Season is a very joyous time of the year.  But for many in our community, the struggle to put food on the table intensifies.  

The NBC Community Development Corporation along with the New Bethel Church, provides a Food Pantry that serves both non-perishable food items and meat options on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of every month.  On many occasions, the line is well into the parking lot before the doors open. Although we partner with Harvesters to provide this service, our shelves are left in need as we operate from the charity of others. 

As we prepare for our Annual Celebrate Life & Good Health event on Saturday, November 23rd, where we provide extremely needed healthcare services, a hot meal and Pantry Services to the community, we are asking for your help.  Please consider donating non-perishable food items, Turkeys, Whole Chickens and Hams to help make this holiday season great for someone in need.  We see upwards of 400+ families each year and we would like for each family to leave with a holiday Turkey, Chicken or Ham.

CELEBRATING LIFE & GOOD HEALTH – Saturday, Nov 23rd

​​​This is an annual celebration in which the NBCCDC in partnership with The New Bethel Church and various community organizations, host a Thanksgiving Meal and FREE Health Fair. Our last event served over 400 families, which is about 1300 individuals.

The 2019 event is co-sponsored by the NBCCDC, The New Bethel Church, Urban Community Connections and the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County.
